چکیده:تعیین ماه های قمری و تنظیم تقویم اسلامی امر پیچیده ای است که از دیرباز اختلافاتی را میان مسلمانان پدید آورده است. در این ارائه، اشاره ای مختصر به مختصات فرآیند استهلال از لحاظ علمی و فقهی خواهیم داشت تا منشاء اختلاف روشن گردد.

About the Speaker:

Dr Bateni is a Staff Research Scientist at Google Research working on Design of Algorithms for Analysis of Big Data. He obtained MS and Ph.D. degrees in
Computer Science from Princeton University. Apart from these, he is interested  in Quranic and religious discussions.

Hojjat al-Islam Haydar Shirazi serves as resident scholar at the Abraar Islamic Center in Vancouver, Canada. Prior to that he was at Islamic Center of England in London. He completed 14 years of studies at the Qum Seminary and has contributed 1000 + video on various topics. He has been an invited speaker to a wide range of countries for Islamic lectures.
